Questions we are asked most
Do your stylists work with all hair types?
Yes — this is what we are known for. Our team works daily across Afro and natural hair, Caucasian and fine European hair, Asian hair, and mixed-texture and children's hair. Whatever your hair type, someone here cuts and colours it every week. If you are unsure who to book with, message us on WhatsApp and we will match you to the right stylist.
Do you speak English?
Yes. Our team speaks English and Kiswahili, and we look after clients from the UN, the embassies and the international schools every day.
Can I walk in, or do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome and we will always try to fit you in. For colour, keratin, braiding or a specific stylist we strongly recommend booking ahead — those take time and our diary fills up. You can book online or WhatsApp us.
Where exactly are you, and is there parking?
We are at The Gigiri Courtyard on Gigiri Lane, a few minutes from the Village Market, the UN complex and the US Embassy. Parking is free and on site — look for the golden OOLALA sign in the courtyard.
How do I pay?
M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard, debit cards and cash. No minimum spend on card.
I am visiting Nairobi for a few days — can you fit me in?
Absolutely. We look after a lot of guests staying in Gigiri and at the Village Market hotels, as well as travellers heading on safari who want a blow-dry, a gents cut or a massage before or after. Same-day appointments are often possible — WhatsApp us on 0702 555 558.
Do you have a private area?
Yes. We have a separate, screened VIP section for clients who prefer privacy, and a quiet massage room away from the salon floor. Please mention it when you book so we can reserve it for you.
What products do you use?
Professional salon lines, including KeraTherapy and KeraPrime for smoothing treatments, and protein and Vitamin-E therapies for conditioning. If you have a product allergy or a preferred brand, tell us when you book.
Do you do children's hair?
Yes — girls' cuts from KSh 2,000, boys' cuts from KSh 1,500 and children's braiding from KSh 3,000. Families are very welcome; we regularly do a whole family in one visit.
What are your opening hours?
Every day of the week, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekends and public holidays.
